The 2019 CECF Saint Lucia stamped itself as a lifestyle, business and thoroughbred racing event of genuine significance, drawing a “who’s who” from the worlds of business and sport to the Caribbean Island of Saint Lucia.
Event Partners and Sponsors from industries as diverse as hospitality and tourism, construction, banking and finance, horse racing, communications media, logistics and transportation were joined by fellow captains of industry as well as notable identities including US Hall of Fame Jockey Mike Smith, champion Saint Lucian cricketer Daren Sammy, the Honourable Allen Chastanet (Prime Minister of Saint Lucia), His Excellency Sir Neville Cenac (Governor General of Saint Lucia), WinStar Farm’s Kenny and Lisa Troutt, The Honourable John Warren (Bloodstock Advisor to Her Majesty The Queen and Chairman of China Horse Club’s International Advisory Council) and Professor Dr Joseph Deiss (former President of Switzerland and China Horse Club International Advisory Council Member) for two days of networking, entertainment and high octane horse racing.
The CECF Race Day, held on the second of two days, attracted almost 6,000 race track attendees and more than 500,000 broadcast and online viewers, making it one of the most watched events across the wider Caribbean in 2019. The CECF Saint Lucia generated in excess of USD1,000,000 in media value to Partners and Sponsors, engaged more than 400,000 social media users and attracted 40 media outlets from across North America, Europe, the United Kingdom, South America, Asia and the Caribbean.
