The Royal Saint Lucia Turf Club is the pre-eminent horse racing facility in the Caribbean and a jewel within the Equine Lagoon development of the Pearl of the Caribbean. One of only a select number of Club’s to have been approved by the British Royal Family to carry its title, the Royal Saint Lucia Turf Club is a community-focused, entertainment and lifestyle hub.

The grandstand which will adorn this racecourse will be in keeping with its expectations as an international standard facility located within an emerging market. Spanning 110m in length, it will cater for an audience in excess of 11,000 patrons. The grandstand will cater for more than 6,000 guests spread across 15 corporate suites, VIP boxes (100 guests), a roof terrace (250 guests), tiered seating at the ground floor (1500 guests), and hosted within the grandstand itself. A further 5,000 patrons will be hosted from the grandstand apron. It will provide first-class restaurant and amenities to Royal Saint Lucia Turf Club members, racehorse owners, sponsors, and to the public.

The uninterrupted sweeping views of the Pearl of the Caribbean Pearl of the Caribbean Lagoon and the ocean views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea will be enjoyed from elevated positions within the grandstand as well as from the neighbouring Royal Saint Lucia Turf Club Hotel. The Royal Saint Lucia Turf Club Hotel’s apron area can cater for an additional 6,000 guests ensuring that the Club itself can host more than 17,000 patrons on feature occasions.

The Royal Saint Lucia Turf Club was launched on Saint Lucia’s National Day, 13th December 2019 to great fanfare. More than 500,000 viewers worldwide tuned in and more than 6,000 patrons descended onto the track as the first phase of the facility was unveiled. The launching was the first stage of the Pearl of the Caribbean and was marked by the running of the USD150,000 Pitons Cup, the richest race run in the Caribbean in 2019.
